The Future of WEB3 Venture Capital: What Will Happen in 2025?
/ Content

After a challenging 2024, the Web3 ecosystem is showing signs of a strong recovery in 2025 – especially in the venture capital sector. At the recent Next Block Expo, Laura K. Inamedinova, one of the prominent experts in the Web3 media sector, shared some remarkable insights on the future of venture capital in the blockchain space.
📌 1. Increasingly clear and stable regulatory environment
New legal frameworks in Europe (MiCA) and the US are creating a solid foundation for organizations to participate in the cryptocurrency sector. This is an important premise for investment funds to reposition their strategies, especially with highly compliant products such as stablecoins and digital assets (RWAs).
📌 2. Stablecoins and tokenization of real assets take center stage
Stablecoins are no longer just trading instruments – they are becoming core financial infrastructure in both DeFi and TradFi. The rise of gold-backed stablecoin models, along with projects like USD1 (in partnership with Trump), shows that this trend will continue to expand. Tokenizing RWAs – from bonds, real estate to money market funds – is unlocking liquidity for an asset class worth tens of trillions of dollars.
📌 3. The combination of AI and Web3 opens up a new generation of solutions
AI applications are no longer just “agents” alone, but are deeply integrated into Web3 infrastructure: from automated trading, risk management to on-chain performance optimization. This is an important step towards building a DeFi ecosystem with real-world scale and operational efficiency.
📌 4. Prioritizing the shift from B2B to B2C
Consumer-focused projects are being valued more highly than the existing purely technical model serving the crypto community. Scalability to Web2 users, along with a simple, accessible product experience, will be the deciding factor in the long-term competition.
📌 5. Capital flows focus on the early stage
85% of VC deals in 2024 are seed/Series A – indicating that funds are looking for opportunities in projects building infrastructure, modular blockchains, and compliance-ready solutions.
🌐 From these signals, it can be seen that Web3 is moving from the experimental stage to the mature stage – where sustainability, scalability, and compliance are at the forefront.
